The third-party funded project KIKI 2036 was presented in Berlin on September 29 as part of the launch event for the “INSIGHT II – Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Disruptive Innovations” funding initiative.
A proposal for AI labeling in science communication will be presented at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Federal Association for University Communication (BV_HKOM) in Innsbruck. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Matthias Begenat, Head of CAIS Science Communication, who is also one of the initiators of the labeling initiative.
Juri Nitzling, a research assistant in the online editorial department at CAIS, will speak on September 18, 2026, at the GeNeMe annual conference in Dresden. His research examines how AI applications are changing the relationship between policymakers and citizens from the perspective of a theory of responsive democracy

Schmitt will discuss this topic on September 22, 2026, at an event hosted by the Catholic Academy “Die Wolfsburg” together with Gavin Karlmeier, Dirk von Gehlen, and Frank Müller at the Mariengymnasium in Essen-Werden.
