On 18 and 19 June 2026, the 6th conference of the BMFTR-funded Integrated Research Cluster will take place at the Life Science Centre in Düsseldorf. The keynote address to kick off the first day of the conference will be delivered by Prof. Hendrik Heuer, Head of the CAIS research programme “Design of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence”, on the topic of “Trustworthy AI through Understanding, Control and Co-Creation”.
The conference will focus on the question of how the digital transformation can be shaped in a democratic, responsible and public-interest-oriented manner, and what role open science plays in this. Against the backdrop of the profound changes that digital technologies and artificial intelligence are bringing about in society, politics and everyday life, the conference brings together stakeholders from academia, civil society and the professional world. It is aimed in particular at researchers from inter- and transdisciplinary fields of research as well as open science, at developers and users of digital technologies, at representatives from politics and administration, and at stakeholders in science communication. Together, they will discuss perspectives on participation, transparency and responsible design in the digital transformation.
The conference is organized by the Integrated Research Cluster. Click here for further information and to register: https://integrierte-forschung.net/cluster/veranstaltungen/6-fachkonferenz/
