SUMMARY:Module 3: Workshop: Introduction to Science Communication
DESCRIPTION:Date: 01.03.2024\, 10:00-14:00 (online) \nLanguage: German \nWorkshop leader: Dr Matthias Begenat & Dr Esther Laukötter (CAIS) \nIn the first part of the workshop\, the theoretical foundations of science communication will be developed. Concepts and instruments used by organisations and researchers in science communication will be examined. The workshop offers an insight into various strategies\, instruments and best practice examples. It will also look at motives for science communication and the obstacles that need to be overcome \nIn the second part\, the focus is on the individual opportunities for researchers to learn practical skills. Using concrete examples and practice-orientated exercises\, participants will work out how to communicate their own research effectively. The focus is on personal concerns and projects: Why is your own research topic important? Which aspects are particularly relevant to communication?
